An agreement in principle, which is being called "historic and unprecedented," has been reached between negotiators for the City of Allentown and the Lehigh County Authority for the sale of up to 7 million gallons of water per day from the city to the authority.

District Attorney Jim Martin and County Executive Don Cunningham today announced that Lehigh County has joined Pennsylvania’s automated victim notification system to help victims of crime track the status of an offender housed in Lehigh County Prison. Known as PA SAVIN, the notification enhancement to local victim services will be part of a statewide, automated victim notification system that began its county-by-county implementation in August of 2007.

The Lehigh County Chief of Police Association honored Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham for his staunch support of local law enforcement officials at their annual banquet this month.
